The ready-to-use JE287 gold plating bath is a highly acidic gold electrolyte required for gold plating stainless steels. The coatings are crack-free, ductile, corrosion-resistant, and low-porosity.

The bath is ideal for direct gold plating of chrome-nickel steel, molybdenum-containing steel, and nickel-based alloys that are difficult to activate. The coating consists of a gold/iron alloy. Layer thicknesses of up to 3 µm are possible.
