XPRO 2. Two sides. One machine.
A satin-finishing side and a high-speed precision side on the same frame.
Belt side: Vertical and horizontal belt arms
Satin-finishing and brushing grits, with the arm in the position the workpiece requires. You configure your XPRO to suit your work steps, and not the other way round!
Precision side: The Universal MICROMECALP Shaft (UMS)
A forged precision spindle on high-precision bearings, made of hardened and ground steel. Every accessory of our X series fits on it.

Lapping and vertical satin finishing, polishing, double satin finishing, horizontal belt, double belt. The modules change, the machine underneath does not.

Choose the process: Four modes, each with its own limit.
Belt finishing up to 1.500 rpm, lapping up to 1.800, polishing and manual operation up to 4.500. A value above the limit is automatically capped.
Work: Six speeds, one tap away.
The profile occupies M1 to M6. Tap one, and the spindle goes straight there, with actual speed and motor load in real time.
Extraction: It follows the spindle.
With SYNC activated, the extraction starts and stops with the machine. The power is adjustable from 10 to 100 %, and there is also a whisper preset and a display of the air flow in m³/h.
Remote service & maintenance
With remote access activated, the machine tells us how it is running. That changes what a service call looks like.
Remote support
Call us, and we already see what you see: which profile, which tools, which settings, temperatures and more. Most questions are settled by phone, without a visit.
Software updates
New features are loaded via Wi-Fi in about a minute and checked for integrity before installation. Your settings, memory and profiles remain untouched.
Proactive maintenance (PILOT)
Service is planned according to the actual operating hours and load of your machine, not according to the calendar.
You stay in control.
Remote access can be switched off
Remote access can be switched off at the machine if you do not want to use the remote services. The Micromecalp Service (Munich) has read-only access.
Works offline
Wi-Fi is only needed for updates and monitoring.
Profiles are retained
Unaffected by software updates.

What is the difference between the XPRO 1 and XPRO 2?
The XPRO 1 is the compact configuration with one working station (600 × 400 × 600 mm, 62 kg). The XPRO 2 has the larger base plate with two working stations: a satin-finishing station and a high-precision, high-speed station (1000 × 400 × 600 mm, 79 kg).
What are the benefits of the Touch version?
The XPRO 1 Touch and XPRO 2 Touch feature a full OLED 4K touchscreen control panel. They also include convenience features such as Wi-Fi, the use of profiles, remote service, and software updates via Wi-Fi. The models without Touch are operated using on/off switches, forward/reverse controls, speed adjustment, and an emergency stop.
What applications is the XPRO Series suitable for?
Lapping (240, 180, and 75 mm as well as round-form lapping), vertical and double satin finishing, polishing, horizontal belt finishing, dual-belt finishing, chamfering, matte finishing, and circular grinding, depending on the module used.
How quickly can the modules be changed?
In seconds. You change the modules, while the machine underneath remains the same. This lets you configure the XPRO around your operations—not the other way around.
Are configurations available for right-handed and left-handed users?
Yes, the XPRO Series is available for both right-handed and left-handed users. You can find the available configurations at the top of this page in the “Available Configurations” section.
What speed settings are available?
The 1.5 kW direct-drive spindle runs variably from 50 to 4,500 rpm, with an optional range of up to 6,000 rpm. On the Touch models, each mode has its own limit: belt finishing up to 1,500 rpm, lapping up to 1,800 rpm, and polishing and manual operation up to 4,500 rpm. Any value above the limit is automatically capped.
How quiet is the machine?
The steel frame is designed for quiet operation, with noise levels as low as 49 dB(A). The level increases with speed; exact values are listed in the technical specifications.
Is the XPRO suitable for continuous operation?
Yes. The steel frame includes integrated air cooling for 24/7 continuous operation.
Will my existing accessories fit?
Any accessory from the X Series fits the universal MICROMECALP shaft (UMS) on the precision station. The belt station is compatible with belt arms and accessories.
What is a profile, and why do I need one?
A profile is a named set of six speed settings (M1 to M6), for example for each employee, watch reference, customer part, or tool. Once selected, the machine is set up, allowing you to reproduce the same surface finish consistently. Profiles are available on the XPRO 1 Touch and XPRO 2 Touch.
Do I need Wi-Fi?
No. The machine also works offline. Wi-Fi is only used for updates and monitoring.
Can I turn off remote access? Will my profiles be lost during updates?
Remote access can be turned off at the machine. When enabled, MICROMECALP Service (Munich) only accesses the machine in read-only mode. Software updates are delivered via Wi-Fi in approximately one minute and are checked for integrity before installation. Your settings, memory, and profiles are retained.
