This watchmaker's tool is used for pressing in jewel bearings. The tool consists of an anodized aluminum frame with a lever for direct power transmission. The frame has a guide with a micrometer for precise adjustment of the pressing depth.

Usage

You can either insert a pressing punch or rotatable reamer holder with various reamers into this guide. These are uses to burnish the hole to the exact diameter required to pressure-fit the jewel. Using the micrometer, take a recording of how deep the old jewel was set before you remove it. The new jewel is pressed into the base plate by use of one of the pump pushers.
