Flux Castolin 1802 N for silver brazing alloys, 250 g
Castolin 1802 N is a highly active, boric acid-free flux based on boron compounds and fluorides, specially developed for brazing with silver brazing alloys. It reacts quickly and ensures reliable results in the effective temperature range from 380°C to 720°C.
The powdered flux complies with the DIN EN 1045: FH 10 standard, is white and has a density of 0.8 g/cm³. It is suitable for brazing steel, stainless steel, copper, carbide, nickel and nickel alloys. It is particularly suitable for short brazing times in combination with low-melting silver brazing alloys such as Castolin 1665, 1666, 1703, or 1800.
For use, Castolin 1802 N can be mixed with distilled water to form a spreadable paste. After soldering, the corrosive flux residues must be completely removed – preferably by rinsing in hot water, soaking in cold water, or mechanically, for example by brushing, grinding, or sandblasting. It should be stored in a dry place at temperatures between 5°C and 30°C.
