Device for determining the purity of gold
The compact device measures the density of a test piece. This allows the purity of the gold to be checked. The most common types of false gold, gold plated pieces or non-gold metals can be detected with the GK-300.
The test piece is first weighed in air and then in water, whereupon the density is determined. The result can be displayed in carats or percent.
Gemstones or the like should be removed from the test piece before the procedure, as they can falsify the result.
