The KWA 5 is a practical solution for the efficient treatment and reuse of rinse water from electroplating processes. Regular rinsing operations in electroplating and jewelry workshops result in continuous water consumption. The KWA 5 significantly reduces this consumption and allows the treated water to be reused for rinsing.
The rinse water is cleaned using a 5 µm particle filter and a mixed-bed ion exchange cartridge. Suspended solids and dissolved ionic contaminants are removed from the water. An integrated UV unit additionally reduces microorganisms and counteracts clouding of the recirculating water caused by algae or bacteria.
The KWA 5 is particularly suitable for use with electroplating systems for processing precious metals such as gold, silver, rhodium and palladium. It therefore helps to conserve water and reduces the need for fresh water.
