Wilaplat Anti-tarnish WE Guard, 1 l
Wilaplat WE Guard anti-tarnish bath passivates the surface of silver, low-gold-content gold alloys, and rose gold alloys. Items treated with this solution are thus protected against
tarnishing in display cases, showcases, and storage.
Usage
It is recommended to first pickle the parts to be treated in diluted sulfuric acid. Then rinse them in distilled water. Next, place them in the bath so that all desired surfaces are covered by the electrolyte. After treating the parts,
rinse them thoroughly in distilled water (45–50 °C).
It is essential to ensure that no tarnish-prevention bath is carried over into other electroplating baths. Silver, gold, and rhodium baths, in particular, will be rendered unusable as a result. After successful passivation, the adhering water drains off as water droplets.
