Galvatron Platinum Bath is used for decorative surface plating. It produces a grayish, lustrous, and abrasion-resistant deposit. Pre-plating with gold—for example, using the AC3 gold bonding bath—creates an excellent bonding base, allowing even steel to be platinum-plated.

Processing

Galvatron Platinum Bath is used in a conventional electroplating system, such as the Wilaplat system. The pH value is critical for proper deposition; therefore, it should be checked regularly and adjusted with ammonia if necessary. Before electroplating, the surfaces to be coated must be clean and free of grease.
