Waldmann Zapp!18, UV-C air disinfector
The UV-C air disinfector Zapp! from Waldmann fights corona on transmission path no. 1. Wherever people spend time indoors, the challenge these days to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 is major.
To support hygiene measures, Waldmann developed a flexible, ready-to-use, and safe solution: The Zapp! air disinfector eliminates microorganisms in the room air by using UV-C radiation. This significantly reduces the risk of transmission via aerosols.
Operating principle
The built-in fan sucks in the ambient air and guides it through the lamp body. Inside, the microorganisms get exposed to UV-C rays with ultra-short wavelengths of 254 nm. The cell division is blocked - much more than by sunlight. Up to 99% of the microorganisms in the air get killed with Zapp!
Safety
At first, UV C causes doubts with many. Any contact with the eyes and skin must be avoided. But using Zapp! is safe.
Thanks to the all-round protection, people and animals can stay safely in the room and are protected from direct UV radiation.
Application
Zapp! can be used both as floor-standing and wall-mounted devices and is designed for continuous operation. It is ideally suited for offices, laboratories, workshops, as well as reception and recreation rooms.
The device is maintenance-free. No filter needs to get replaced. Hidden dangers, such as inadequate cleaning or lack of filter replacement, are avoided from the outset.
