The UV-C air disinfector Zapp! from Waldmann fights corona on transmission path NO 1. Wherever people spend time indoors, the challenge these days to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus SARS- CoV-2 is major.
To support hygiene measures, Waldmann developed a flexible, ready-to-use, and safe solution: The Zapp! air disinfector eliminates microorganisms in the room air by using UV-C radiation. This significantly reduces the risk of transmission via aerosols.
Operating principle
The built-in fan sucks in the ambient air and guides it through the lamp body. Inside, the microorganisms get exposed to UV-C rays with ultra- short wavelengths of 254 nm. The cell division is blocked - much more than by sunlight. Up to 99 % of the microorganisms in the air get killed with Zapp!
